Casper Nyovest to stage debut performance in F/ Town

The Motswako rapper will be the headline act in the show that has 10 local acts. He will be supported by the likes of MMP Family and La Timmy among others.

With Casper Nyovest filling up the Dome with close to 20,000 people, organisers of the Ghetto Festive Festival are only aiming for more than 5,000 revellers to fill up Francistown Rugby Club which previously hosted the likes of Zahara and Mi casa.

He has also notified his fans through various social network accounts that he will be performing in the second capital city of Botswana on his itinerary for this month.

Casper Nyovest, a self-confessed millionaire, is expected to perform a number of new tracks from his sophomore album Refiloe which has tracks such as Mama I made It, Bheki Indaba Zakho, Monate So and Cooking in da kitchen which featured American rapper The Game.

“This event is a festive season booster meant to build up the mood for the 2015 Xmas holiday. It is envisaged to showcase Francistown as a city of vibrancy with the mayor’s cultural and economic development initiatives,” said Thobo Tlhasana of Vantage Entertainment, the event coordinator.

He mentioned that Casper Nyovest, being a Motswana albeit in South Africa, will relate with the audience. “He has made significant strides in the entertainment industry, he can mentor and inspire local artists to design personalised entertainment strategies”.In the line-up there are a number of Francistown based artists and some who hail from surrounding areas such as Collastaw, Que, Bunz and Lizibo.This event will be the first of the  Festive Fest, which organisers said they were planning to make it annual. The organisers also said the event was meant to add value to the hospitality industry, the arts and culture communities as part of economic boosters for the country, specifically Francistown. Prices for the tickets, which are already available at Webtickets, Urban Soul  and Liquorama outlets, range from P100 to P300.
