Seakanyeng, Mathumo linked with big money move to Morocco

The pair is said to be close to agreeing terms with an unmanned club in Morocco, a move that would make them the first local footballers to play in the North African country.
The details of the transfer remain sketchy, as concerned parties refuse to divulge information. According to sources, the pair would pocket six-figure salaries.
It is said the duo has been offered two-year deals and would see them earn around $12,000 (approximately P120,000) on a monthly basis with a signing on fee in the region of $10,000 (P100,000).
“The deal should be completed in the next few weeks. The idea is that they should be joining the team just before Christmas.
The team is to meet with (Township) Rollers because Simi is still under contract; they have to negotiate a buy out fee, as for Seakanyeng it looks complete since he is a free agent.
So it is just a matter of time before they jet off to Morocco,” a source close to the developments said.
But Rollers public relations officer, Bafana Pheto said the club was yet to receive any offers for Mathumo. However, he said they would wait and see if there are any developments. “We do not know anything at the moment on the matter, we have not received any inquiries on any of our players, so this is news to us. Mathumo is currently with Zebras camp, they are on an isolation period and we expect him to report for training next week, probably on Monday depending on when they are done that side, so we will wait and see,” he said. Mathumo rejoined Popa in July 2019 on a two-year deal after a six-month stint with South African side, Free State Stars.
The central defender has a year left on his contract.
Seakanyeng on the other hand, has been a free agent since leaving Maltese First Division side Lija Athletic in June. The speedy winger was on the radar of a number of local clubs, with champions Jwaneng Galaxy rumoured to be leading the race.
