Tshanda, who is in the country to promote the show, said their performances this weekend will be centred on celebrating Molapowabojwang’s 23 years of existence and also a dedication to his late friend and music promoter, Super Letshabo, who passed away last month.

Tshanda, who has 32 solo albums under his wing, stated that after their performance in Gaborone a few weeks ago, his promoter notified him that a number of people around the country were yearning for Splash events. “We have a huge following in the country, so we decided to have one in Molapowabojwang and in Serowe next week since it’s a central place”.

The whole Splash crew, which includes Peackock, Amatshikos, Dalom Kids and Thabile Mazolwana, is expected to perform at the event.

They will be supported by different local acts.

Springbok Entertainment is asking for upcoming artists from Molapawabojwang and Serowe who are interested in performing at the event to communicate with them.

“I am pleased to see private promoters calling out the whole crew. It really shows that our music is appreciated.

We are also willing to help upcoming artists develop their skills,” Tshanda said.

Tshanda said Splash events are not for criminals. “It’s just that we have a huge following and when we have events magodu (thieves) will see this as an opportunity to strike,” he explained.

Tickets for both events are available at Shell filling stations.
