Witnessed by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transport Neil Fitt, as well as representatives from the Civil Aviation Authority, the Botswana Defence Force Air Wing and the Police Air Wing, the new graduates were told that opportunities for their craft existed at Air Botswana, the army, the Police, and at many other companies in Botswana which run aircraft businesses.

The aircraft maintenance graduation  was also combined with another graduation for pre-school teachers. The International Director at Flying Mission Saralee Molaodi described the pre-school teaching programme as vital as Botswana was not producing its own qualified pre-school teachers, who play a key role as they are trusted with the early development of children.

Also speaking at the event, University of Botswana academic Dr Trivedi described early childhood learning as a unique  and vulnerable stage. She said  the potential of any child is unlimited, adding that it is very important to take care of  the child since it was a resource, adding that a child’s life is moulded by the first four years of development.
