ViviteBoyz Muzik cry out for rain

The single was released on Nov 6 and it was meant to be a cry out for rain.
In an interview with one of the group members, Tumelo Mosugelo said they decided to remake the song as a result of the current water situation in Botswana.
“We found it fit to remake the song as a way of giving hope to the masses being affected by this water shortage,” he said. Mosugelo said the Pula song is one that stresses the importance of uniting as a nation in order to combat the water crisis. “The current water situation needs all Batswana and all other relevant stakeholders to stand up, unite and ask for spiritual intervention,” he said.
The mastermind behind the production of the song is Katlego Mafhoko who is also the drummer. Mosugelo and Aobakwe Thakayantlha are the groups’ Disc Jockeys (DJ’s).
The trio started in 2011 and made their breakthrough by performing live remixes.
Last year the group released their first single titled Auti-Aka. Chef Gustos produced the song. According to Mosugelo, the single opened doors for the group and they have never looked back since then. “As we speak right now, the brand is now being recognised by a vast majority of people,” he said. Viviteboyz Muzik has partnered with Amprez Productions in Gabane.
The group is currently working on compiling an album that is due for release in 2016. “While we are still at it, one can look forward to what we do best, which is producing music for both local and international brands,” he said.
