He is set to leave for USA next year to attend the programme.  The funds are meant to purchase a flight ticket for his trip.

His first attempt for the fundraising project will be on December 5 where he will host a dinner gala and fashion show event at Cresta President Hotel.

“This will be the first fundraising event towards the course so I am still pleading to companies out there for support,” said 22-year-old Mooketsi.

The model stands a chance of being signed by international agencies if he manages to attend the IMTA programme as there will be a number of talent scouts that side.

He said: “I will attend a workshop that could help upcoming models in the country”.

If his trip is a success he will join the ranks of Miss Botswana second princess, Peggy Grynberg who attended and won a number of titles at the IMTA programme early this year. Mooketsi has a had a fair share of shine in the modelling industry as he has appeared on a number of billboards and fashion shows such as a wedding expo, a fashion expo and  the President Fashion Show where he was a runner-up this year.

Mooketsi has already received support from his fellow model friends that have opted to offer their free services during the fashion show.  He will be collaborating with local clothing lines such as Lets Wear and Gilded Sands to mention just a few. Tickets for the dinner gala and fashion show range from P100 to P220.
