Motswako Invasion Proves A Huge Success

One of the main acts, Khuli Chana delivered a superb performance on the hit No More Hunger alongside his countryman JR. The award winning South African rapper, who has a huge fan base in Botswana, had people on standstill when he performed another hit Hape le Hape.
Khuli Chana reminisced on the time when he first started performing Tswaa Daar. The motswako originator had a lot of stage presence and people were dancing joyfully as they watched their main man performing on stage.
The legendary motswako lyricist, Tuks Senganga also graced the stage and the crowd was excited to see him after an absence from music circles. The rapper is well known for his awe-inspiring Setswana verses and his fans were familiar with the lyrics. Another South African motswako artist, JR also performed his well-known song Gata le nna.
The local rappers were also at their ‘A’ game and HT Tautona blessed the stage with a wonderful performance of the hit Ga gona ditsala. The never disappointing rapper from Maun took the fans back in time when he performed the hit Monate Wa Gaborone. He left the stage in style by performing the song I Gotta Go.
Kast showed the fans that indeed he could fill up the stadium with a great performance of his previous hit Ndono. The Sejabana hitmaker also performed the remix of Anafiki’s classical Re Babedi song. Apollo Diablo also performed his previous hits including Ikalanga Chedu.
Dramaboi was also there to add power into the strings of wonderful local performances. The township music rapper was a favourite in the crowd and the fans were shouting his name after performing his hit Candy. The most decorated local female rapper, Sasa Klaas was also fans favourite and revellers were paying much attention to her stage performance. She performed her latest hit Mma Mongwato to the delight of the audience.
The lineup was endless and Botswana’s most successful rapper, Zeus came on stage to perform his songs like Tlhokofatsa and Gigima. The Channel O award winning rapper’s performance proved that indeed he is one of the best rappers around.
The performance night couldn’t conclude without Mosako, and he was also at his best. The rapper performed some of his previous hits like Onkentsang.
The most amazing performance from an upcoming artist came from an ensemble of rappers called Kgatleng Cru. Their collaboration on stage was amazing and each verse showed that they could deliver their best. The lineup of DJs was also on point during performance intervals and they had the crowd on their feet the whole night.
