Sasa Klaas, Kinetic 9 in the studio

Kinetic 9 is a member of rap group, Killa Army, which is an affiliate of the legendary Wu Tang Clan, which has the likes of Methodman. He has been in the music industry for close to 20 years. Sasa Klaas’ management representative, Palesa Makoti from Virgin Brew Music recently announced that they reached an agreement with the American rapper to work with the HADSAN rapper.
Makoti said: “Through our connections, we were connected with Kinetic 9. Considering his stature as a great producer, he was definitely someone we wanted to work with for Sasa Klaas’ project with the goal in mind of making her the best in the industry”.
Kinetic 9 is currently working on Sasa Klaas’ single. “We have since sent him Sasa Klaas’ material and once he has produced the beat for our artist, she will record at Virgin Brew studios,” she said. Makoti further stated that after the first track the two artists will probably work together on other projects. She said VIB Music’s aim is to develop Sasa Klaas to become the best female rapper in the continent. There are a number of female rappers such as Nomuzi Mabena, Nadia Nakai, Fifi Cooper, DJ Naida and Gigi LaMayne that are already fighting for the number one spot in Africa.
She also explained that Sasa Klaas’s music is getting recognition in other countries such as Ghana, South Africa and in the UK.
Motswako veteran HHP is mentoring the femcee and another music veteran Thasman is working as the executive producer for Sasa Klaas’ album. She has also collaborated with some of the best producers and musicians such as Drama Boi, Malik and producer, Lunatik, who produced the hit song, Cara Cara.
Sasa Klaas’ album is scheduled for release next year. Makoti said: “The album should be out in the first quarter of 2016, but we will continue to update the media and public as we get closer to the date”.
