Kutlwano have shown renewed vigour in their bid to overtake the leaders after beating Mafolofolo 3-0 and Spiking Stars 3-1 over the weekend.

The journey continues this Saturday in Jwaneng where they will battle against Kalavango in the first match before facing Itekeng in the afternoon.

Kutlwano coach, Dopp Popo said they are not going to undermine Kalavango. He said all teams are dangerous when they play Kutlwano and they do not want to leave anything to chance.

He said the plan is to win the match.

“We still have matches in hand hence we would be playing two matches every weekend. That is meant to give us a chance to catch up with other teams. Our plan is to win all the remaining fixtures,” the coach said.

He said they have made changes to the way they have been training by introducing physical element on Mondays. He said the idea is meant to continue with the momentum players had picked during the games over the weekend.

Popo said in the beginning, some players used to avoid physical training but at the moment the entire team is available.

He said his team has an advantage because it boasts of experienced players. Popo said even though they do not have enough depth, he is able to rotate the players.

Kalavango coach, Isaac Thengelani said Kutlwano is a big side and playing them is a motivation. He said BDF, Police VI and Kutlwano are challenging for the championship and that means playing against them is not an easy task. Kalavango is currently in position eight. Thengelani said he is not happy about his team’s log position. He said they have lost games that they could have won, and this affected their league standing.

“The game is not going to be easy but we will give our best. All I want is for my players to stick to the game plan. Our tactics should be spot on and make sure that Kutlwano does not catch us on counter attacks,” said Thengelani.

Kalavango will also play Itekeng on the same day. On Sunday, action moves to Lobatse where BDF VI entertain Mafolofolo, Spiking Stars play Mag Stimela while BDF VI wrap up the weekend with a battle against Police VI.
