The prestigious award was bestowed at the EMEA Finance’s Treasury Services Awards and Global Finance’s World’s Best Bank Awards, presented at the Sibos conference in Singapore.

Stanbic Bank’s accolade, part of the Global Finance’s World’s Best Bank Awards 2015, comes against a total of 22 awards won by Standard Bank Group, of which Stanbic Bank Botswana is a member. This serves as a testament to the collective strength of the brand across the African market.

“A key focus of the Bank is to drive valuable and relevant support for our customers and our wider economy.

Foreign exchange transactions are a strong part of this in driving cross border personal and business trade, and we are humbled to see our efforts in this space recognised and to see our strategy taking shape with tangible impact,” said Stanbic Bank Botswana Head of Global Market, Sentsho Tselayakgosi.

Stanbic Bank’s Foreign Exchange offering comes as part of the Bank’s Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) portfolio, for which the Bank continues to be a market leader. The Bank’s CIB division offers a broad base of in-country advisory capabilities and services to clients across the country, leveraging the Group’s extensive experience in this space across Africa.

“Humbling, incredible marks of recognition such as these awards are a reassurance we are headed in the right direction in offering the right kind of financial solutions for the relevant participants and key players in the value chain.

This is Botswana’s time. This is Africa’s time, and it is up to us as communities and organisations to tell her story, and help her realise her full potential,” concluded Gabaraane.
