“This is my first single and the second one is coming next year,” he said.

Guyvos said he spent six months working on his latest single.  “Pina Ena has received massive following and it is available for download.  The link for the song can be found on my Facebook page,” he said.

Guyvos said the single is unique because he used the whistle sound to differentiate himself from other artists.

“It also has an element of jazz music,” he said.

Guyvos, who started as a dancer for Exodus in 2005, said he intends to work with other local artists in his next offering.  Looking back to the time he first ventured into the music industry, DJ Guyvos said he could sense growth in him.

“Musically I have evolved, I joined DJ Timmy as a dancer in 2008 and four years down the line he transformed me into a DJ and I have never been more grateful,” he said.   Guyvos indicated that Timmy came up with the idea because he believed that Guyvos had potential.   He thanked Timmy, Chef Gustos, Beat Mechanix and Black Money Makers record label for helping him to push his first single.   He also expressed his interest in making collaborations with international artists.

“I have interacted with South African artists like Professor during music shows and they told me that I am good at what I do, so it motivated me to work even harder,” he said.  The young man from Kanye said upcoming artists should believe in themselves in order to make it in the industry.

“Someone has to have confidence in order to sail through the tides of the entertainment industry,” he said.
