BDF IV (in red and green) intend to win the title this season

BDF coach, Selebatso Mabutho said they intend to win all their remaining games. “We normally provide players with counselling before any match as a way of avoiding mistakes. Our camp has been hit by injuries, but the squad that is travelling to Serowe is ready to compete,” he said. Tanian have accumulated only 20 points and rooted at the bottom of the log standings.

“Our aim is to win the league and we have strong squad that can make us achieve that dream. We recruited a new setter at the beginning of the season and he is settling well in the team. With more game time, he will be able to gel with the rest of the team,” he said.

Mabutho said their loss in the Capital Motors tournament in the semi final against Kutlwano demoralised his players hence they went on to lose even in the losers final.

He said he had to work hard to motivate his charges so that they could immediately shift their focus back to the league. BDF last won the league in 2013.

For his part, BDF VI player, Lesang Tlale told Mmegi Sport yesterday that they are ready for the weekend encounter. He said they are not going to undermine their opponents. He said the current season is better compared to the previous one when they failed to defend the league championship. He said as players, they intend to work hard and see to it that they walk away with the title when the league ends on November 22. Next weekend, BDF will take on Police VI and Mafolofolo in Jwaneng.

“Our next two games are not a walk in the park. We have to work hard and improve our techniques. When our setter left, the move had an impact on us. It was a shock because replacing a setter is not an overnight thing. But we are now playing well,” said Tlale.
