Splash maestro to bring whole crew

The Botsotso hitmaker will perform alongside Matshikos, Dalom Kids, Thabile Mazolwana and Montana to mention just a few. 

“With a live band Matshikos and Dalom Kids will sample tracks from their upcoming albums,” he said.He added that he will also be performing tracks from his latest offering, Delele with a live band.

“We are expecting every Splash fan to come and see us perform.  This time around our performances will be different from the previous ones,” he said.

Splash music has managed to attract a wide audience and has captivated various age groups.

The show will feature local acts such as Jojo, UB Jazz Band and Kay.  Event promoter, Mogatusi ‘Spring’ Sebego stated that this is also an opportunity for upcoming local musicians such as UB Jazz Band to perform alongside established ones.

“This time around there will be tight security monitoring the venue, keeping tight surveillance and protecting revellers from harm.  We do not want any movement at the parking lot during the show, no spilling and pouring other revellers with alcohol and this system of stripping while dancing is not going to be allowed,” Spring said.

There will be a security personnel of 60 including a number of policemen.  He stated that the reason why they have heightened security is to ensure that fans are safe at the event.

“Some people have decided not to attended Splash events because they believe they are not safe, but this time around we will protect them,” he said.

The event, which is dubbed The People’s Festival will start at 6 pm.
