BONU Hails Public Private Partnership

This project, called Botswana International Nursing Conference (BINC) has resulted in coalition and cooperation between government, Botswana Nurses Union (BONU), Aviwe Health Care Resource & Training Institute as well as big private sector companies like Boitekanelo College and Barclays Life.

All of these players, and many more, joined forces and worked tirelessly over the last few months to make the BINC a reality.

We have to make special mention of our major sponsors, Barclays Life and Boitekanelo College as well as many other private and public sector organisations that have contributed in no small measure to make this event a success.

Your efforts are greatly appreciated ladies and gentlemen. I am confident that through this project we have forged long lasting ties that will keep us close to each other as we serve our country and our people with vigour and dedication.

BINC has noble objectives ladies and gentlemen. It aims..:

• To advance and improve the coverage and quality of health services.

• To demonstrate the nursing contribution to the health of

individuals, families and communities.

• To provide an opportunity for an in-depth exchange of experience and expertise within and beyond the international nursing community.

The Conference will be held from November 4-6 2015 in Gaborone, Botswana at Fairground Holdings under the theme: ”Efficient and Effective Nursing Through Evidenced-informed Practice: A Key to Improved Customer Care.

This will be a unique international multi-disciplinary platform for all health care professionals in the region.

The nursing profession as we all know constitutes the majority in the health sector.

Our manpower has been dwindling over time, leading to customers having mixed feelings about the quality of service they receive from health practitioners. Health practitioners are also challenged to be proactive and this can only be validated through developing a habit of relying on research findings.

As such nurses from all over the global village have been called upon to influence each other in this critical area of research.

This is what BINC 2015 aims to do, and this is why we implore you, dear friends, to embrace this conference and support it to the utmost of your abilities.

We need your patronage and partnership to ensure that the first ever Botswana International Nursing Conference is a resounding success. With those few remarks ladies and gentlemen, I welcome you to the launch of the first ever Botswana International Nursing Conference (BINC). Enjoy.
