Masitara hands Miscellaneous bragging rights

Lovers were the first to break the deadlock with an early goal from leading goal scorer, Moatlhodi Ralesotla in the third minute. In the 20th minute, Bogosi Mfila nearly equalised but missed.
Ralesotla’s solitary strike separated the two teams at the break. Miscellaneous came back fighting and Masitara brought parity in the 50th minute.
The Zimbabwean striker handed his side the victory in the 64th minute, profiting from the goalkeeper’s blunder.
Ralesotla missed an opportunity to snatch a draw for his side in the 85th minute when he shot wide. Miscellaneous coach, Russia Chaba was pleased with his team’s fighting spirit.
“We did not take Lovers light because we know that these boys don’t give up easily, hence we fought back. Our intention was to get an equaliser before halftime,” Chaba told Mmegi Sport.
For his part Lovers mentor, Othusitse Kootswele said they could have won the game if the boys played their normal game.
“The boys were losing many balls in the first half (and) putting themselves under pressure. Tactical indiscipline killed us. We could have defended all the goals because we knew the likely person to punish us,” he said.
