NaomiiMusic revamps into a multimedia platform

It has introduced podcast shows that will be hosted by a number of radio personalities and individuals. It has also introduced a video platform that will showcase different film contents such as music videos, documentaries, blogs and web series programmes.
Explaining the remodeling of the online music store, the mastermind behind NaomiiMusic, Seabelo Masasa, stated that the online music store has remodeled to accommodate various multimedia content. Masasa is one of the co-founders of the company.
“This is now a wide field for content developers as it allows one to showcase their content.
Any person or entity may create their own podcast show, the idea here is to give Botswana content a digital place at which all could come consume it,” he said.
Two radio personalities, Drew Chadhall and Mdu ‘Tha Party’ Madzwamuse, will host podcast shows. Chadhall will host a dubstep chart show while Tha Party will host a Top 10 charts of the best performing songs on NaomiiMusic.
He stated that content developers that are interested in exhibiting their content on NaomiiMusic can approach them and they will reach an agreement and standards required.
Artists and content creators get 70% of the returns that they get through showcasing and exhibiting their content on NaomiiMusic.
“What Batswana really needed was a central hub to consume all music that is from Botswana, so the response has been incredible,” stated Masasa who noted that the online music store has had traffic of close 100,000 visitors this past month.
Talking of the music content, he stated that there are a number of songs such as Goitse (Shetla), Sheillah (Ke Lehetwa), Izzy (Razi), Scar (Ntueleng), Dramaboi (Sala Le Nnna) have been doing well as they have been on the Top 5 chart show for a longtime.
“We wish to see more and more songs performing well so that our chart exceeds five songs and extends to something that can rival the Billboard Hot 100, but all in due time”.
The online music store now shares the same traits with Cliff Central online radio, which also has a multimedia platform.
