Forest team manager, Mompati Ditiro said their performance is a sign that they prepared well for the season. He said their advantage is that their players are from Mmankgodi and are always available.

“Forest is made up of youngsters and they follow instructions. We have veteran striker, Sadat Sinare and players look up to him.

He is influential,” said Ditiro.

Bakanoki Maseko coached the outfit to face a resurgent Notwane at SSG ground on Saturday.

Notwane are finding their feet in the lower division after a slow start and are now second with 10 points. Mochudi Rovers have the same number as Notwane, but are third due to an inferior goal difference.

Notwane coach, Wire Kaelo told Mmegi Sport that it was not easy to motivate players who have just relegated from the top flight.

He said when he joined Notwane, he held a meeting with the players before their first training session.

“I told my players that a human being’s biggest enemy is attitude and until they changed their attitude they cannot get the (desired) results.

As you can see today, we have started winning matches,” said Kaelo.

Notwane picked maximum points by beating Sharps Electrical 2-0 on Sunday. Kaelo said the management has given him the mandate to get the team back to the Premiership next season. He said it would be exciting if that happens and with the positive attitude the players have, the target is achievable.

Meanwhile, Rolling Boys spokesperson, Tshiamo Marekwa has said they are not in a bad position as they are only three points behind Forest.

He said the team is playing well, but the main challenge is failure to convert chances.

He said there is need for a bit of luck to get the job done.  Marekwa said it is a process which cannot be done overnight.  He said the coach is doing a good job and his stay is safe.

The race seems to be tough for former Premier League sides; Mogoditshane Fighters, Letlapeng, Prisons XI and Uniao Flamengo Santos. Gabane-based Santos is in position five with nine points followed by Letlapeng with eight points. Fighters are in the ninth position with seven points while Prisons XI are 11th with five points from six matches.
