Log leaders, Meat Girls, face second placed Prisons at New Look Primary School on Saturday afternoon. Third place Makufa Sporting Club play fourth placed Double Action on Sunday afternoon at the Mogoditshane Junior Secondary School grounds.

Makufa are fresh from a 6-0 thumping of sleeping giants, Untouchables last weekend. They have collected seven points, having scored eight goals while conceding one.

The rejuvenated side ended last season’s champions, Township Rollers’ winning streak with a 1-0 win in the first encounter of the season. Makufa coach, Ifa Makulwane told Mmegi Sport he has a full squad for the encounter. “We have been preparing well. We missed some of our players in the last encounter,” explained Makulwane. He said his team, who finished fifth last season, are aiming for a top three finish.

Double Action will look to continue their dominance over Makufa. They won 7-0 and 4-1 last season. Double Action lost to Rollers last weekend and would look to bounce back.

Team manager, Ntsho Ntsho said they are not worried about their opponents’ good run. “The mood in the camp is high. The players are ready after last week’s disappointment against Rollers. We have a minor injury to Kgomotso Molefe who we hope will be fit for the clash,” she said.

Double Action have experienced players within their ranks, including Thuto Ramafifi and Bonang Otlhagile who are part of the national team.

In the top of the table clash, Meat Girls will look to unlock Prisons’ defence. Prisons have not conceded a goal while they have been shy in front of the goals as they have scored only five goals. Meat Girls on the other hand, have scored nine goals while they conceded two.

The two teams have not dropped points after winning all their three games, but face a real test as they have only played teams in the bottom half of the table.

In the other fixtures, defending champions, Rollers visit unpredictable UB Kicks at the UB Stadium on Saturday while Kanye Swallows host South East Girls at the Swallows grounds.

Rookies Gaborone United and FC Legend battle at Regent School grounds. On Sunday, Big Sisters welcome bottom placed Untouchables at Maoka Junior Secondary School grounds.
