Police investigate two deaths

Superintendent David Ramoseki of Kutlwano Police station confirmed that two people were found dead on Saturday and Sunday.

He said late Saturday afternoon the police found the body of a woman, aged between 30 and 40 years with several wounds that showed that she had been stabbed with a sharp object.

“The woman was rushed to Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital for medical attention but doctors pronounced her dead on arrival,” he said. On Sunday morning, Ramoseki said a young man aged between 22 and 23 was found hanging from a tree. He said that the man and women were both Batswana. “We are not sure if the man and woman were involved in a relationship and we are investigating the two incidents to find out if the man had any link to the murder of the woman,” he said.

Ramoseki urged Batswana to talk to families, friends and social counsellors whenever they have problems, in order to avoid cases of suicide and murder.

He added that they must also contact and report to the police any worrisome incidents because the police are always there to help them.
