BONU raises funds for slain members tombstone

The state has alleged that her boyfriend, Atlholang Mujangi, a former police officer, killed Sox. Police say her partly burnt body was discovered on the outskirts of Francistown.

Chief walker, Sam Masunga, research officer at the office of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Francistown East, said that police have assured him that investigations into the matter are still ongoing and will be properly carried out in order to get justice for  Sox.

He said they have taken a funeral policy at Thusanyo Funeral Services in order to assist residents of Francistown East.

Masunga assured the nurses that the MP for Francistown East, Buti Billy, has pledged to contribute towards the tombstone.

Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital deputy matron, Mpotseng Moamogwe, thanked nurses who took part in the walk.

She said that their colleague was killed in a senseless and brutal manner and therefore as her former colleagues they were duty bound to do something for her in order for her soul to rest in eternal peace.

“Buying her a tombstone is one way of showing that we still love Sox despite what happened.

We will continue to love her even in death,” said an emotional Moamogwe.
