They are alleged to have been caught with 295.2g of the said substance on February 16, 2015. The facts of the case will be prepared and read to Moremogolo on October 22 while Nokaneng’s trial dates were set for December 14-15, 2015.

Still in Bobonong, Tefo Mazebedi (20) of Mabumahibidu ward appeared before Principal Magistrate Goabaone Rammapudi on a rape charge.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge and the prosecution intends to call seven witnesses while the trial will commence on March 28, 2016. It is alleged that the young man raped a woman in Makalakeng lands between August 15 and 16, 2014.

In Jwaneng, Teedzani Galetshabelwe’s plea was reserved by the magistrate last week to allow him to decide to either seek legal representation or conduct his own defence. Galetshabelwe, a technician at Mining Lube Solutions, will appear again on October 27 to update the court on his legal representation status.

He is accused of causing death by driving under the influence of alcohol. According to the charge, on June 27, in Mokhomma, he caused an accident that claimed the life of Mmapule Phage who was a passenger.

Meanwhile a consultant, Mpho Setereke, 33 of Ramotswa pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. His breath specimen was above the stipulated limit.

He was arrested in Boatle on the Gaborone-Lobatse road  on June 29. Now free on bail, he will appear on October 15,  for facts reading.
