Rolling Boys began with guns blazing in search of an early goal. In the 14th minute, Galefetoge Kenaope failed to connect well with a cross from Omphile Sebolai, with his header going over the bar.

Kenaope missed another chance to put his side ahead two minutes later, when he played a one-two with Molefe but scuffed his shot. Letlapeng goalkeeper, Kabelo Kuti denied Molefe from close range with a superb save. Mpho Gaboitsiwe beat two defenders on the left side and laid a low cross to Molefe, who had an easy task of putting the ball into the back of the net on the 32nd minute. Molefe could have doubled the lead in the 36th minute, but his shot went wide. Rolling Boys took their lead to the break.

With only 12 minutes into the second the half, the referee awarded Rolling Boys a penalty after Eric Batlatsi was brought down in the area. Molefe converted with powerful shot. Letlapeng’s only real chance came on the 72nd minute when Johana Mokaedi found Phenyo Magosi unmarked in the box but failed to pull one back as his shot went wide. The winning coach, Thaloba ‘Machine’ Nthaga said his game plan worked but was worried by the failure to convert chances.

“We want to win games because when you win games you win the league. All we have to work on is our finishing,” he said. Letlapeng coach, Enosi Mmesi said his team was not mentally strong particularly after conceding an early goal which made things even harder for his side. “It is back to the drawing board. I just have to build the players’ confidence for our next game against Santos,” said Mmesi.
