Met Services warns of heatwave

The heatwave, the department says, is expected to gradually dissipate, with temperatures in Kgalagadi district dropping by three degrees on Sunday October 11.

“The Department advises members of the public to take precautionary measures to protect themselves from these adverse weather conditions. These measures may include among others: Drink more water regardless of your activity level. Avoid prolonged stay under the sun, if at all possible stay under the shade. Protect yourself from the sun by wearing a wide-brimmed hat or umbrella,” the statement reads.
