Artist assaulted after performance

According to the artist, whose real name is Sidney Molefe, and had bruises on his hands and head, an identified man outside the club gates assaulted him right after the performance.
“People had gathered around me. They showered me with endless compliments and afterwards I got into my car,” he recalled.
Mr Molzz said when he was about to leave the club, a woman whom he went to school with approached him to complement him on his performance. He said while he was talking to the woman, a man who was said to be the young woman’s boyfriend came towards them. “He thought I was trying to steal his girlfriend and he started throwing beer bottles (750 ml quarts) at my car and since the window was opened, some of the bottles got into the car,” he added.
Mr Molzz said he didn’t have time to duck the bottles and most of them hit him very hard.
“I panicked and I didn’t have time to close the window. I could have reversed the car, but another car was behind me,” he lamented. Mr Molzz said in the end he managed to escape serious bodily harm, but with beer splashed all over the windscreen,obscuring his vision.He said he later reported the case to Tlokweng Police Station.
Tlokweng Police Station commander, Robson Maleka, confirmed that indeed Mr Molzz has reported the case to their police station.
“We are investing the matter and at the moment we have not arrested anyone in connection with the case,” he said.
