Zebras captain, Joel Mogorosi told Mmegi Sport from Doha, Qatar yesterday that they have lost preparation time, but the team would remain focused on Saturday’s job. “We are still in Doha, we are leaving at night. We are not yet in Eritrea, but the boys are good and we cannot complain.

We arrived here around midnight,” Mogorosi said yesterday.  The team is expected to arrive in Eritrea this morning and have two days to prepare. Mogorosi promised the boys would do their best despite losing two days of practice.

“We missed two days of preparation but there is nothing we can do.

We have to focus on the game and work hard for the results. The boys look ready and want to do the nation proud,” Mogorosi said. The two teams will not have much rest as they fly to Botswana after the weekend match to prepare for the return leg in Francistown on Tuesday night. The winner proceeds to the second round where 40 teams would be in the hat for home and away knock out ties.  The 20 winners would be drawn into five group of four teams with the victors qualifying for the 2018 tournament to be hosted in Russia.
