An official update on the Talent ETC Artist Management Facebook Page reads, “Our Motso Ratsie joins Scandal-e.tv, as Jemina, weekdays at 19h30 only on e.tv.”

Kgomotso Ratsie is one of the four lucky winners from, Signed International Season 1, who are now signed by one of the leading artist management agencies, Talent-ETC in Johannesburg, SA. In just a year, the talented young woman has had the pleasure and opportunity of shooting on Z’bondiwe, Saints and Sinners II, and she is now part of the cast of Scandal.

“I thank Jesus for it all. I’m so happy and really excited.

Before relocating to Johannesburg I declared that I am going to work at Scandal, right now it’s the manifestation of that declaration. Being in Scandal to me means growth and more exposure. It’s awesome working with the cast, crew and all these lovely people,” Ratsie said.

The executive producer of Signed International, Johnson Otlaadisa, explained that one needed to note that South Africa has a well-developed television and film industry and therefore competition for opportunities to be in a soapie of Scandal’s caliber is not a joke.

He further said it was humbling to see a Motswana, born and bred in the dusty village of Mmathubudukwane, managing to impress in the city of gold.

“All glory belongs to Jesus! We also ought to thank the government of the Republic of Botswana and South Africa for all bilateral agreements and cooperation between our countries, making it easy to work with each other. As Africa we need to know that we need each other, and are blessed to have each other,” Otlaadisa said.

Asked whether Kgomotso’s role as Jemina in Scandal is a short stint or a main role, the brand manager of Signed International Ishmael Otlaadisa said, “keep watching Scandal and find out for yourself”.

“If Signed International actors are able to make it into productions such as Generations, Z’bondiwe, Saints and Sinners and Scandal, this should be enough to help anyone who doesn’t believe that Batswana have world class talent and capability to start believing now,” he said.
