Over 53 Boipuso babies

A total of 54 babies were born at seven hospitals across the country. They comprised of 33 girls and 21 boys.

It was an early Christmas present for the parents as their new babies were welcomed into the world on Botswana’s own birthday.

Princess Marina Hospital in Gaborone delivered 13 babies; seven girls and six boys. In another referral hospital, Nyangabgwe in Francistown, a total of nine babies; one boy and eight girls.

Sekgoma Memorial Hospital in Serowe welcomed eight babies; seven girls and a boy. Not far away in Mahalapye Hospital, a total of 10 babies were born; six girls and four boys.

In the southeast at Bamalete Lutheran Hospital, five babies; four boys and one girl, were born.

At Kanye Medical Mission SDA, only two babies; a boy and a girl, were born.  In Molepolole seven babies; four boys and three girls, were born at Scottish Livingstone Hospital.
