Expected to ignite that non-stop laughter from the audience, South African Karou Charou could not make half of the audience laugh while popular local Facebook comedian, Sibs MacD failed to crack a single joke.

The only positive outcome from the show were acts from South African Tol A$$ Mo and few local comedians like Legusty and Rekunde.

For a show that was highly priced, it seemed like the audience did not get their money’s worth and to top it all, one of the proposed main acts, Michael K from Zimbabwe did not turn up.

The biggest flop of the night, Charou entered the stage with a funny Indian outfit and black shades. Being an Indian himself, most of his jokes were poking fun at the Indian culture.

Performing for the first time in front of Botswana audience, fans could not connect with his humour and Charou cursed a lot.

Being one of the most commercially successful comedians in South Africa, he appears in the new McDonald’s Spicy Burger campaign in SA but he could not spice it up for the local audience.

His counterpart, Tol A$$ Mo was the only good thing from the already disappointing night.

He was so good at telling stories, which according to him were based on his background. He related with the audience and some of his lunchbox jokes tickled.

His facial expressions complemented every joke.

Real name Mongezi Ngcobondwane, Tol A$$ Mo took the audience down ‘the old township days’ lane.

The South African comedian, who is also a television personality, did his best to imitate every character in his story.

Some of the local comedians were gracing the stage for the first time and amongst others Zozo was so terrible.

Being the most mature stand up comedian, one would have thought Zozo would bring out the best but his jokes were not funny. He delayed his jokes and the audience had to wait for the punchlines after a long series of story telling.

The worst performance of the night came from Sibs MacD who could not even move the audience.

Known in the social media as a very funny guy, Sibs’s first time on stage was horrible. Mostly known for making people laugh using digital images, Sibs showed that Facebook and the big stage are two different platforms.

Local comedian, Legusty also took to the stage and was better than the rest of the local comedians.

Legusty, who seems to be improving with each performance, interacted with the audience and every joke he delivered made the audience laugh. He poked fun at celebrities and politicians.

The only female of the night, Rekunde did her best.

The comedienne from Maun was very funny and most of her jokes were about sex, gender, her home village and the audience.
