Satmos chairman, Monnakgotla Mojaki confirmed the move to Mmegi Sport this week saying they parted ways because of poor results.

“Football is a results orientated sport and when the results are not coming that shows that there is a problem,” he said. “We had no option, but to part ways with the coach.”

Mojaki was however quick to refute that the 9-1 loss to Rollers had triggered the decision.

He added: “The decision was not entirely based on the weekend result. We played eight; won one, drew one and lost six. The results had no been coming all along. This was not based on the weekend’s  results.  We can’t take decisions based on one game.”

The club has brought in Botshelo Pelokgosi as the head coach, and he will be assisted by Kgosietsile Jacob together with Mogolodi Chepete.

Mogae referred inquiries to Satmos technical director, Mooketsi ‘China’ Mading. Mogae joined Satmos from city rivals Nico United mid way last season. He managed to save the team from relegation as they beat Notwane 6-4 in the relegation play-offs.

Meanwhile, Mojaki said veteran goalkeeper Kagiso Tshelametsi will be out for a while. Tshelametsi twisted his knee during the Rollers game.

“He is an injury prone player,” Mojaki said. “I think he will be out for a few months.” Satmos occupy the 15th place on the log, with only four points after scoring six goals and conceding 19. Pelokgosi will lead Satmos for the first time when they visit stubborn third-placed BDF XI at the SSKB stadium on Sunday.
