The philanthropic staff at Diagnofirm mobilised their own resources after reading about abandoned children at Marina, according to Diagnofirm staff member Boitumelo, who spearheaded the philanthropy.

“After reading about the situation of abandoned children in one of the newspapers I took it upon myself to raise funds, then the idea was bought into by staff, as well as our managing director Mr Chand, who contributed significantly towards the charity”, said an elated Boitumelo.

All the money raised went into buying pampers for two girls and a boy, although Boitumelo said she later learned that one of the kids is now over nine months old.

It is not the first time that the staff of Diagnofirm have shown philanthropy, as previously they donated blankets to the needy.

The recent charity work follows Diagnofirm’s donation to ward equipping a borehole to water the Mmathethe area. The commissioning of the borehole was performed last week at a glittering event attended by area MP, Alfred Madigele, who is also assistant Minister of Health.
