The festival will be graced by a number of local artists among other ATI who is expected to perform his new single cassette. MMP family, Drama Boi, Twerk Stars, Ozi F Teddy and Tarz B. Casper Tha DJ of Yarona Fm will also grace the event. The organising committee spokesperson, Lucas Moshokgo, said the event is meant to promote Selebi –Phikwe artists because they do not have much exposure. He said the festival is going to have fun games like volleyball and five-a-side football, face paintings and horse riding.

Moshokgo also warned local promoters to refrain from deceiving supporters as in most cases they promise them some artists who end up not turning up for events.  “Our promoters should stop lying to our supporters, they should always tell them the truth about artists that will be performing,” he cautioned.

He said that recently in Selebi –Phikwe there was an incident where supporters were deceived and that caused havoc.

“It is not fair for promoters to include artists that they know will not make it in the line up. At least, they should communicate with supporters well in time to avoid conflicts and damage of properties,” he said.  He stated that this kind of behaviour destroys the relationship between artists and their supporters.

“Our supporters have lost trust in us. It is now difficult for organisers to promote their festivals because people no longer trust us,” he said.

As for security during their festival, Moshokgo said that they have engaged security companies that will help during the event.  “We have engaged security companies to help us because we do not want people to lose their property to thieves. We want our supporters to feel safe,” he said.  He added that they would not allow any bottled alcoholic beverages, as there have been many incidents where supporters threw bottles at performers and even other supporters.

He said that tickets are already and children pay P30. Advance tickets are sold at P80 for adults while at the gate they will be sold for P120 while VIP ticket cost P250.
