Motlakase chairperson, Mangisi Segadimo told Mmegi Sport that the team has signed a one year contract with the former Letlapeng coach.

Segadimo said the contract is performance based, with an option to renew. Moyo faces a daunting task as Motlakase have won once in five matches and are bottom of the log.  “We started this season badly that is why we found it suitable to appoint a new coach to help Pule Mogotsi, who has been taking care of the team. We have not yet given up and we expect Moyo to bring change. If he fails to get us a top eight finish, at least he should ensure the team survives relegation,” Segadimo said.

Moyo is expected to start work in a fortnight as he awaits the processing of his papers. Mogotsi will remain as the assistant coach.

Moyo said although the team has started the league poorly, he would try to turn the tables and instill a fighting mentality on the players.

“It is very unfortunate that the team didn’t start the league well.  There is nothing I can do to change that. But the only wish is to make the boys confident and try to turn all negatives to positives,” he said.

Moyo added that he would work hard to bring back life to the team and take it out of the danger zone. Before joining Letlapeng, which relegated last season, Moyo  coached Francistown teams; TAFIC and ECCO City Greens, which also relegated to First Division on previous seasons.

He has also been the head coach for Tonota FC, Calendar Stars and Mega.com.
