BFA president, Tebogo Sebego has conceded that sanctions are looming after Zebras’ fans invaded the pitch at the end of their game against Burkina Faso here last weekend.

Sebego said the charge ranges between US$5,000 and US$10,000. What happened after the Botswana-Burkina Faso game, the BFA feels it must educate soccer fans on how to behave during and after matches.

“There will be a CAF meeting next month and as guilty as we are following what happened, we are likely to be charged for invasion of the pitch which will come at a high cost for BFA,” Sebego said.

He said invasion of the pitch by fans is a serious offence therefore BFA would ensure that there is no such repeat.
