Maun Police Station commander, superintendent Chenamo Orateng told MmegiOnline they recently took in a 48-year-old Motlopi traditional healer for questioning concerning the matter.

Orateng further stated that the suspect’s blood samples were taken to the laboratory for further examination.

“We are still waiting for the DNA test results to further prosecute in the case. The suspect has been released but investigations into the matter are still ongoing as we await DNA results,” he said.

A week ago, the said traditional healer allegedly raped the woman claiming that he was performing rituals after she visited him for assistance. Then, the suspect allegedly instructed the victim’s boyfriend who was in her company to collect soil by the crossroads. Thereafter, police said the traditional healer allegedly told the victim that he should use his manhood to push the medicines into her private parts.
