Khuli Chana show cancelled due to bad weather

The show was due to take place at the Lansmore rooftop in Masa Square and the venue became waterlogged forcing a cancellation for health and safety concerns.
The city revellers who were keen on seeing the motswako rapper gathered at the Lansmore reception demanding their refund, after the show was cancelled. However, the situation was contained and the organisers promised to refund everyone for each ticket bought. The tickets were sold at P200 each and according to the organizers people would claim their refund on Monday.
Billed the most exciting night of the season, Khuli Chana was supposed to appear alongside South African-based local DJ Oneal Africa.
Briefing the media after the cancellation of the show, Khuli Chana said he was happy to be in Botswana again despite the inclement weather.
“Botswana is like my second home. This is where it all started, Botswana gave me love when no one gave me chance,” he said. He recalled the times when he started with HHP in Gaborone.
Khuli Chana said he still had various projects lineup as Absolut’s ambassador. “I would still come back for more shows,” he said. He said he collaborated with one of the local artists.
Oneal Africa was supposed to perform as well after an absence in the local scene. the former Big Brother Africa housemate said he was grateful for Absolut despite the cancelled show.
He said people should expect more of him alongside Khuli Chana in future.
