Sealcrete Launches innovative solutions

Sealcrete becomes the sole distributor of Xypex.
The products are a distinctive technology that is intended to work within a concrete itself instead of simply on its surface. SDuring the launch last week, Xypex Director for Southern African region, Lewis Lynch said Xypex solves problems in situations where conventional barrier systems were fragile and futile thus making a real difference.
“This new innovation has been responding well to the ever-demanding and diversified world of opportunity,” he said.
Xypex can be used in water treatment plants, mines, heavy industrial, below grade, roof and parking decks, bridges, power and utilities, tunnels, pre-cast and waste management treatment works.
“This is the best product to use for waterproofing concrete especially in Botswana because of the climate. Xypex is more durable and protects the concrete from water retention,” Lynch said.
Lynch also said Xypex enhances the strength of concrete by about 10 to 35 percent, adding that the product has already been used in Gaborone.
The Centre Square in the Central Business District, residence constructions of some prominent businessmen and other structures, are some of those that have used this product.
Sealcrete Director, Precious Ncube noted that Xypex is an ideal technology to use at the ongoing construction of the Kasane-Zambia Bridge.
On the other hand, the Africote, a franchise based in Phakalane, offers a wide range of coatings, floors, paints and décor plasters to mention a few.
Africote representative, Kevin Van Rensburg said that the coatings are of high quality and that they offer the best interior and exterior coats.
