Notwane Off To A Bad Start

Sechaba found the back of the net in the 29th minute through Langa Mabuli.
Orapeleng Nkwe who came in as a substitute in the second half cancelled the goal in the 71st minute. Gomolemo Ramaabya scored Boys’ second goal from a penalty spot in the 85th minute.
Notwane started the game with an upper hand, pushing for an early goal but wasted an opportunity from a corner kick which saw Edward Tlhowe fail to convert the chance in the box. Rolling Boys defended in numbers to try and absorb pressure from Notwane, who were launching attacks from both flanks.
Rolling Boys made changes early in the second half by bringing in Nkwe. His introduction changed the complexion of the game and kept Notwane defence on their toes and went on to score his side’s equaliser before Ramaabya scored the winner for Rolling Boys.
Boys’ coach, Thaloba Nthaga told Monitor Sport that collecting maximum points from the first game of the season is a good motivation.
He admitted that his charges did not have a good first half.
“Notwane were not fit and we used that to our advantage. We intend to use the win as a yardstick moving forward,” he said.
For his part, Notwane coach Tuba Mothuba said his players did not play according to plan. He, however, said he could not judge his players from the first match of the season because they are still rusty.
