Hordes of supporters lined up to welcome the team. The supporters arrived just moments before lunchtime to welcome the team. Even when it was announced that the team would not arrive on scheduled time, the fans remained patient.

The team was initially scheduled to arrive around lunchtime with a chartered flight from Johannesburg, but their flight was delayed by slightly above two hours.

Several players posed for pictures with the supporters for nearly 30 minutes, but it was forward Aristide Bance who was the centre of attraction. Almost all the supporters wanted to have a glimpse of the stylish forward who has become popular for his unorthodox hairstyle. As he posed for pictures, the forward who displayed a shy but friendly character, appeared to have been taken by surprise at the reception from home fans. The team will stay at Marang Hotel.
