Security wins ODLM inter-departmental first aid games

The Ore processing, Plant 2 engineering and Letlhakane Mine took position two, three and four respectively.

The games served as preparation for Botswana Chamber of Mines (BCM) competitions that will be hosted by Karowe Mine on October 10.

Giving welcoming remarks, the general manager of ODLM Allan Breen said first aid games are also about learning and practicing very important life saving skills which can be put to good to use not only at the mine but also in the home and public roads.

The games were held under the theme “First Aid, first on call to save lives”.

Senior Safety and Sustainable Development Manager George Sehunelo said first aid is critical to people daily be it at the work place or in the sports fraternity.

“First aid competency and skills are essential as life-saving intervention and I urge all present to give it the recognition it deserves,” said Sehunelo.
