Batsadi Leisure Programme Launches

The programme seeks to add a new dimension to the quality of lives of adults, especially retirees and senior citizens through exclusive entertainment. The company founder and Director, Nick Ndaba said recently when launching the SBELP at Lansmore that the concept came from the realisation that local entertainment industry had very little to offer to adults.

“Adults, especially retirees when it comes to recreational activities for enjoyment, amusement or pleasure, are often forgotten, hence are subjected to boredom,” he said.

Ndaba, who is a renowned local jazz artist, said often adults want to hang at spots where there is no younger generation. As there are no such places, they are unable to socialise, which often lead to health complications from feeling being left out and subjected to loneliness. “The situation often leads to boredom and later complications on the health and wellbeing of adults, as SBELP aims to cut down all health relating diseases by introducing fun outings for adults,” he said.

He said the SBELP programme would be mainly used to cater for adults by hosting special gala dinners, fun days, sporting activities and special tours to local tourist attractions and beyond the borders to destinations like Cape Town, Durban, Victoria Falls and many other destinations of choice.

The first event to take place under the SBELP will be a gala dinner on November 28, 2015 at Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC) where entertainment from internationally renowned artists is expected to take the stage.

Johnny Clegg, the South African musician and storyteller and Dr Caron Baron an internationally acclaimed classical pianist, are expected to be among the local acts at the dinner.
