The tile of the album, as one might assume, speaks volumes.

It is simply taking issues that happen in society and putting them into a song.  The song, as the young woman who rose to stardom quickly explains, addresses the issue of pretentious men, who go around lying to women and anyone who cares to listen, just to impress.

“The song talks about men who some people usually refer to as ‘Bo Ke A Ipereka’.

Basically these are the men who will lie to women and claim to own expensive cars, just to impress them, while at the same time taking their money under the pretext that he is expecting a big cheque,” Jojo explained.

She said the title track, is meant to caution women about ‘Bo Rra Setori’ because they are there in our society.

The young woman who oozes with confidence is quite sure that her latest offering will definitely impress her fans.

Interestingly, Jojo, who specialises in contemporary traditional music, told Showbiz that she has no intentions of ever crossing floors in terms of genres.

Even though her traditional music has a modern twist to it, she told Showbiz that her strength has always been in traditional music, hence the decision to stick to what he does best.

“My fans appreciate me because of traditional music that’s what made them like me in the first place, so I wouldn’t want to confuse my fans by jumping between genres,” she explained.

She added that traditional music is “our pride, our diamond.”

“While other genres have been imported from other countries, Setswana traditional music belongs to us, it is not something that we copy from anyone,” she said.

She added that while she is not saying that other genres cannot put Botswana on the world map, traditional music has more weight to foster cultural exchange, and arouse interest in global communities.

Other songs in the album include Moloi, Mahihing, Mamati Mpelegela Ngwana, which she sings in Kalanga, and a gospel song Morwalo.

Jojo said she used different producers throughout the album, to avoid songs having similar beats.   Some musicians often fall into the trap of releasing an album, where all the songs sound the same, and Jojo said she did not want to fall into it.

She said her debut album Mpatiseng, did extremely well in the market, despite the fact that it was her first attempt.

She said the album made her an international star, as she was able to get a lot of invitations to perform in different countries.

Jojo has been invited alongside Mafitlhakgosi to be opening acts at African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) billed for October10 at The Black Academy of Arts and Letters, in Dallas, Texas, USA.

Nigeria’s Basketmouth and Uganda’s Anne Kansiime, will host the event.
