The team’s coach, Gaolethoo ‘Ronaldo’ Nkutlwisang said they have begun their pre-season training and she is impressed with what she has seen in training.

“We have been training for two weeks now and I can say morale is high.

The players are giving it their all and I think we will be ready to defend the title,” she said. She said they have beefed up their squad for the coming season.

“None of the players who were part of the title winning team have left us and we have also registered a couple of youngsters as we want to have a stronger squad,” she said.

Despite being the only female coach in the local league, the former Double Action player said she does not feel the pressure.

“There is no pressure at all.

I am doing this for the love of the sport and I want to inspire other young women who are interested in coaching with my talents.  “I would also like to urge the public to support us as we have very talented young women who only need their support,” she said. The striking partnership of Bame Ngenda and Masego Koboto that scored 53 goals between them last season is expected to lead the team’s attack in the new season. Ngenda scored 24 goals while Koboto found the net 19 times.

Senior national team goalkeeper, Sedilame Bosija who kept 17 clean sheets would be rallied upon once more.

Rollers is said to have signed national team attacking midfielder Lebogang Setereke from Auckland Football Club (FC) of Zimbabwe, who will join other seasoned players like Amogelang Moahi and Tlamelo Motlhale.  National Under-20 reserve goalkeeper, Bame Mokibe and teammate Banyana Thekiso joined newly promoted Gaborone United from first division outfit, Makufa FC.
