Barclays to fly lucky fans to watch English Premier League

On Monday night, the bank hosted sports journalists at Sky Lounge to launch the start of the new Barclays English Premier League.

To reward its customers, the bank is drawing on its partnership with the Barclays Premier League to offer customers a once in a lifetime experience: a chance to win the opportunity to watch a Barclays Premier League match live in the UK.

Other prizes include the opportunity to host a Barclays Premier League Legend in their home or the chance to attend the Barclays Premier League Fan Zone experience, which would involve watching a live game in the presence of a Barclays Premier League Legend.

“To qualify for the trip to the UK or the Legend home visit, new customers need to open an account with Barclays and transfer their salary into this account every month.  “To stand the same chance, existing customers must also transfer their salaries into their Barclays accounts every month.

“Further, customers who register for online banking through Barclays will also stand a chance of winning two tickets to attend the Barclays Premier League Fan Zone experience,” said Racheal Mushaike, head of marketing and corporate relations at Barclays.

Barclays wants to continue to reward and delight its customers in ways that no other bank can. Barclays customers currently have access to a number of innovative solutions – such as CashSend, a virtual wallet that allows customers to send money via mobile banking or via an ATM to a recipient regardless of whether that person has a bank account or not within Botswana.

Mushaike mentioned that, “to ensure that lifetime experiences don’t end with our Barclays Premier League competition, every time our customers swipe their Gold/ Platinum credit cards, they earn ‘Worldmiles’, which can be redeemed for travel anywhere in the world, on any airline, throughout the year.”
