Mogwe�s album launch at Botswanacraft this Friday

Transitions has 13 tracks, including amongst others the title track and her breakthrough single, Transitions in which she features Zeus. Her other single, which has enjoyed massive airplay is You, in which she features female rapper, Sasa Klaas.
The album was released last month.
The newly wed Mogwe scooped The Best Female Artist award at the inaugural Yarona fm awards last year.
Showbiz caught up with the executive producer of the album, Thebe Malipiti who related the journey of the long-awaited album.
He explained how it took them years of planning and research to finally produce the album.
“It took us three long years, but we did not want to rush anything. We faced a few challenges, especially in the market, but the time has come,” Mapiliti said.
Mapiliti added that Mogwe emerged different from the woman she was three years ago.
“I have seen her transform into the full packaged artist she is now. She really has learnt a lot. Initially we produced the album locally, but took the decision to seek help in South Africa, there we worked with Next Music, which has mutual agreements with Sony, hence Sony will be distributing her music and album, and we also worked with MWJ marketing, which is mainly focusing on marketing her,” he said.
Tickets are on sale at the Botswanacraft marketplace for P150, and P200 with the CD. The show starts at 8pm.
