AUTOFIT new Police XI technical sponsor

The sponsorship amount has been increased from P1 million to P1.5 million for two seasons.  Briefing the media yesterday, Police XI chairman, Solomon Mantswe said they were excited to have entered into a partnership with sportswear company, AUTOFIT.

“The new technical sponsorship will cover provision of playing, training and warm-up kits, travelling attire for both players and the technical team,” he said.

Mantswe indicated that Police XI has in return given AUTOFIT exclusive rights to produce supporters' replica t-shirts and other various merchandise.

“We are looking forward to a successful relationship with AUTOFIT,” he said.

Mantswe added the club would continue to look for better ways of increasing revenue to sustain the team going forward. He hailed Dynamic Insurance.

“I thank most sincerely the management of Dynamic Insurance for agreeing to partner with us in order to grow our beloved game,” he said.

Mantswe said the 50 percent increase from the initial sponsorship may seem small to some, but it is a great relief for the club as money is hard to come by.

He added that Police XI is determined to compete effectively this season no wonder they have strengthened the squad with the addition of five players.

The new players are goalkeeper, Thabiso ‘Bobby’ Mathe from Township Rollers, Sylvester Leririma from their youth development side, Onkgopotse Senatla from ECCO City Greens and Sefiwa Herbert from Mochudi Sundowns.

Tapiwa Gadibolae  also joins the team on a season long loan from Rollers.

For his part, AUTOFIT representative Modicai Muchafa thanked Police XI for honouring the partnership.

“It is a win for both of us because the partnership will develop sports in Botswana,” he said.  He said the technical sponsorship would cost P250,000 per season.  Muchafa said each season, P50,000 would be reserved for a pre-season tour to a country of choice within the region.

He said they have an option to increase after the two years had elapsed.
