Ramsay wants BIUST top job

An excited interviewee told Mmegi that she felt blessed when she sat next to Ramsay outside the interview room last Wednesday morning, but was too scared to say a word to him.
The candidate who preferred to remain anonymous said she did not know whether Ramsay was in the queue to be interviewed or to join the panel of interviewers. The candidate said that Ramsay got in the interview room at around 10am.
Ramsay, who is the deputy permanent secretary in the Office of the President and has been manning government communications for more than a decade, was not amused at our enquiries on his mission at BIUST.
“That’s none of your business if I had applied for the job or not, and I am going to sue if you continue writing that story,” Ramsay responded to our enquiries yesterday.
The post of director of communications and public affairs fell vacant last November and it was advertised in the mainstream media on February 02, 2014.
The acting director, Keoagile Rafifing confirmed the post has been vacant for close to nine months now.
He, however, could not divulge details on the number of applications received, who was interviewed and when the interviews were held as that “is a human resource issue”.
“I will not have that information, it is classified and confidential. All I know is when the advertisement was placed because I was handling the placement process,” Rafifing said.
The BIUST post has an attractive salary of between P57,000 to P80,000 monthly.
