Hurting Ngurungu face ruthless Chiefs

But Ngurungu’s quest for victory would be made more difficult by a rampaging Magosi who have found the net eight times in two matches.
Maun Sports Complex is expected to be packed to the rafters as Sankoyo would be banking on home crowd to spur them to victory with concerted cheering.
With such a poor defensive record after letting in six goals from two consecutive defeats - they lost 2-1 to Extension Gunners before going down 4-3 against Miscellaneous- the odds are against the Bucks who face a roasting by ravenous Chiefs.
Tiiso, however, was adamant Magosi should desist from undermining his side. He hopes former Chiefs midfielder, Ocean Mpofu would have finalised his work permit by tomorrow in time for the Saturday match.
Mpofu’s arrival would bring relief as he may help them defensively where they have so far been found wanting.
Tiiso said they lost their central defender Modiredi Matengu to Township Rollers and their left and right backs to Orapa United. To compound the situation, defensive midfielder Mmoloki Kafuko has jumped ship. But Tiiso said they have been working hard to remedy the situation. He said their problem has been in central defence.
“We have a problem because we lost quality and have to replace it with quality, but due lack of sponsorship we have no money.” He said they are grooming two talented youngsters to take the critical defensive positions.
Chiefs coach, Mike Sithole said they will not undermine Ngurungu. He said as the champions, they are a team to beat as everyone wants victory over them.
Chiefs leave for Maun today and are injury free. Last season, Magosi scored in the last minute to secure victory over Sankoyo in Maun. A loss for Sankoyo will mean a tough road ahead as their next two games are away to Police X1 followed by another trip to Green Lovers in Serowe.
