Female armed robber gets bail

The prosecution says Mokalake, together with Tebogo Gobuamang, Hosia Timbe, Teko Kolwane and Mooketsi Moeng robbed Patricia Searobi and Kaelo Searobi of money and goods, all worth P94,374 on July 22, 2015 near Sethugetsane in Kanye, by tying their feet and hands and pointing pistols at them.

Mokalake, who was represented by attorney Friday Leburu, was ordered to pay P1,000 bail. She was also ordered to attend all court sessions and not be involved in any crime as investigations into the case continue.

The other four accused were denied bail by Principal Magistrate Abigail Masawi.

Gobuamang had said he needed to be out on bail to look after his younger sisters while Timbe, who walked on crutches, said he needed medical attention outside prison.

The court heard that Kolwane was in Lobatse for another court case while Moeng also said he needed health care outside prison. The accused persons will appear for mention on August 31.
