Musicians collaborate on Childline theme song

The track, One Nation, features jazz artists Kearoma Rantao, Nono Siile, poet Ame Matoba, RnB artist Amo Moatlhaping and rapper Tlamelo ‘Reacxion’ Joseph who is the brain behind the song, produced by Chef Gus and Lifman. One Nation has a fusion of contemporary and urban sound brought about by the mixture of artists from different genres. Kearoma Rantao, Nono and Ame bring the contemporary element while Reacxion and Amo bring the urban flavor to the song.
The song carries a message advising the elderly community to unite in raising their children. It touches on building a bright future for every child, and getting rid of child prostitution and abuse. The song seeks to encourage a child-friendly environment.
“One Nation is a song that I conceptualised for Childline. The inspiration came from the different music genres,” said Reacxtion, who believes that listeners from different backgrounds will relate to the track.
The Motswako rapper mentioned that One Nation is a charity project and all the profits made from it will go to Childline. In the coming weeks one would be able to purchase the song on vib mobile as a ringtone across all mobile networks.
One Nation was played last weekend during the Childline Sports and Dance For Fitness programme, which was held at New Era College. The artists performed the song live.
Reacxion said he is planning on working with more artists on different initiatives to raise funds for charity-related programmes.
“This is a way for me as a Motswako artist to give back to the community,” he said.
