Harrison, who arrived from Zimbabwe during the off-season, told Mmegi Sport the poor condition of the pitch made it difficult for players to play a good game.

“The pitch was not in a good condition. It was dry and this made it difficult for players to play a good game,” he said. Harrison was however happy his team managed to win despite the poor condition of the pitch. He said he was impressed with the skills and the character of the players displayed.

“The game was not an easy one especially that Nico were physical but I am happy that we showed good character,” he said.

He said his team’s physical fitness is also impressive.  Nico coach, Wesley Mondo concurred that the pitch was dry but did not want to use that as an excuse for the loss.

“The pitch was dry but I cannot blame my loss on the pitch’s condition. The boys played a good game. It’s only that we missed our chances,” he said.

As for the players’ fitness Mondo said that his players fitness level is getting better and promising. “Their fitness level is getting better,” he said.

Jerome Ramatlhakwana ensured that his team returned home with three points after grabbing the solitary goal.
